After a 21-hour drive back from Fort Lauderdale at the end of our Spring Break cruise, we arrived to discover Tristan's mission call had arrived!!! It was 5:15 AM, but there was plenty of adrenaline going around to wake us right up. Tristan opened the call alone, then shared it with us. Later that night, he did a second "opening" with a bunch of his friends and some favorite ward members.
I admit I was pretty stunned he received a call to serve in Rome, Italy since I had served my mission in Milan, Italy waaaay back in 1987-1988. Additionally, Tristan's cousin Ethan Cannon had been called to the exact same mission just six weeks before Tristan received his call. We were pretty ecstatic!
